Algonquin Park day 4 2024

This morning we decided it was time to explore the island and the rest of Canisbay Lake.

Finding a place to land was easy. We tied up our canoe and set out to explore the island.

On the island, we found some wild raspberries…

…and some wild blueberries. They were tiny but delicious snacks.

After that, it was time to explore more of this beautiful lake.

To our amazement, three young ducks came out to greet us and say hello.

After our canoe ride, we worked up quite an appetite in spite of the wild strawberries and blueberries.

The day was becoming very hot, so there was nothing to do about that except to spend the rest of the day keeping cool in the lake.

That evening, we shared half a bottle of wine after our dinner as we reflected on our day and how grateful and thankful we were for everything.

And so this was one of our more restful days here at Algonquin Park, so that we are ready for a real adventure tomorrow.
